The short version: if you join the waitlist we store your email address and nothing else. We use it once — to tell you when Thrift Finder launches in your area. We don't sell it, we don't share it with advertisers, and you can have it deleted any time by emailing us.
Thrift Finder is run by Laurie Macdonald, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Laurie Macdonald is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details, and we do not track your location.
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) to hold your email address and send you the launch email. You gave that consent by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time — see section 7 — and doing so is as easy as giving it.
For visit statistics we rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding whether the site works, using a method that doesn't identify individual visitors.
Will: the one-page sourcing checklist as soon as you sign up, an email when early access opens, and occasional updates if the plan changes meaningfully.
Won't: regular marketing, newsletters, offers from anyone else, or anything you didn't sign up for. We will never sell, rent or trade your email address.
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site. They act as our processors and only handle your data to provide their service to us:

We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking pixels. That's why you haven't been shown a cookie banner.
This site isn't aimed at children. If you're under 13, please don't submit your email address without a parent or guardian's permission.
The site is served over HTTPS and the waitlist is held in an access-controlled Buttondown account protected by a strong, unique password and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but an email list is a small target and we keep it that way deliberately by collecting nothing else.
If you think we've mishandled your data, please tell us first — we'd like the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator:
